| At the culmination of their newly conceptualized summer day-residency
art program, the
Religare Arts presents an exhibition of breakthrough new
works created by 25 emerging artists,
based on the unifying theme of Connaught Place, The Whynot Place.
The exhibition features multi-disciplinary artworks, as all
participating artists were encouraged
to find diverse threads within the theme, as well as to push their own
boundaries in terms of
medium, handling, scale, content and visual narration style. Each artist
was identified on the basis of being
secure in their craft and well on their journey to finding their own
artistic voice.
The key to the entire residency was to ensure that each artist felt
strong enough to take artistic risks
and this shines through in the works very amply. |
